Former MP Prajwal Revanna caught watching porn in jail; he is incarcerated on rape charges.

A forensic examination of a mobile phone and other devices seized from jailed former Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna has reportedly found dozens of pornographic videos. Last month, during a Crime Branch raid, Revanna, who has been convicted of rape, was found using a mobile phone inside his prison cell.

Revanna is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and the nephew of Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy. He is serving a life sentence after being convicted in a rape case and is lodged at Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Jail.

Prison Raid Conducted on August 11

Crime Branch officials conducted a surprise raid at the prison on August 11. During the operation, Revanna was found using a mobile phone.

Officials also seized a charger, a pen drive and a notebook from the high-security barrack where he was lodged.

Dozens of Porn Videos Found on Phone

The seized mobile phone and pen drive were sent for forensic examination. According to the report, dozens of pornographic videos were found on the mobile phone, while web series were found on the pen drive.

The case has once again drawn attention to the alleged special facilities available to VIP prisoners at Bengaluru’s central jail.

After the mobile phone was recovered from Revanna’s cell, a jail official was suspended and an inquiry was ordered.

48-Year-Old Woman Had Alleged Rape

Revanna was convicted last year in connection with the rape of a 48-year-old woman and the alleged circulation of videos related to her sexual assault.

The woman, who worked as a domestic help at the Revanna family farmhouse in Holenarasipura in Hassan district, had alleged that Prajwal Revanna raped her several times since 2021.

According to her allegation, he had recorded the act and threatened to release the video if she told anyone about it.
