'Why Do Muslims Need to Go to Garba Events?'
Waris Pathan said, "My point is absolutely clear. I want to tell all Muslims, why do you need to go to Garba? Islam does not permit it. Why go to places where your respect is questioned? You have no respect or honour there."
'Where Is It Written in Islam to Play Dandiya?'
Pathan further said that people at such places ask Muslims to come wearing a tilak and do certain things, and advised them not to go to such places.
He questioned where it is written in Islam that one should play Garba or Dandiya. He said Muslims simply should not go there.
Pathan also said that those who go to such places could face incidents involving assault, humiliation and mob lynching.
Pathan Also Reacts to National Film Awards in Gujarat
Waris Pathan also reacted to the 72nd National Film Awards being held in Gujarat. He questioned what would be left for Maharashtra if such events were moved to Gujarat.

'One Day, They Will Take Rashtrapati Bhavan to Gujarat'
Pathan said Bollywood is based in Maharashtra and that the Dadasaheb Phalke Award was started in Maharashtra.
