BRICS Summit 2026: Delhi Luxury Hotels Prepare Special Menus for Delegates

India is hosting the 18th BRICS Summit on September 12 and 13. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will welcome leaders from Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, the UAE and other partner countries.

The summit will be held at Bharat Mandapam, while leading luxury hotels in Delhi are making special arrangements for the visiting delegations. Hotels including The Taj Mahal, The Leela Palace and The Lalit have prepared special menus showcasing Indian hospitality and flavours from different regions.

The Taj Mahal's 'Tradition to Table' Theme

The Taj Mahal, New Delhi will welcome the delegates with a 'Tradition to Table' theme. The menu is based on recipes that the chefs learned from their mothers.

It features traditional snacks from six regions of India:

Spiced Walnuts from Kashmir Maida Kaju from Old Delhi Bhakarwadi from Maharashtra Mini Kachori from Rajasthan Kucho Nimki from Bengal Murukku from Tamil Nadu

Dr Anmol Ahuja, Area Director-Operations and General Manager, The Taj Mahal, said the menu reflects the diversity of India's culinary heritage and the warmth of the Taj experience.

The Leela Palace Creates a Food Lotus

The Leela Palace, New Delhi has prepared a specially handcrafted edible lotus for the delegates. The lotus is India's national flower and is associated with the identity of BRICS India 2026.

It has been created using indigenous fruits along with rose, saffron and cardamom. The offerings also include Aujasya by The Leela millet cookies, handcrafted granola bars and wellness infusions.

Executive Chef Karan Thakur said these creations present the richness of Indian ingredients in a modern way.

The Lalit Focuses on Regional Indian Cuisine

The Lalit, New Delhi has prepared a special menu centred on regional Indian cuisine. It includes Galouti kebabs, tandoori breads and millet-based dishes.

The menu also features dishes with international influences, including:

Braised eggplant with miso paste Simmered Chinese cabbage Kidney bean sweet Japanese style with amber sauce

General Manager Vishal Sharma said the menu reflects the warmth and dignity of Indian hospitality.

The hotels are thus preparing to offer BRICS delegates a taste of India while also catering to their diverse food preferences.
