Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in India on Saturday, September 12, to attend the BRICS Summit. His aircraft landed at Delhi’s Palam Airport, following which he is scheduled to travel directly to his hotel.
Around 2 PM, Xi Jinping and other leaders of BRICS member countries are expected to reach Bharat Mandapam. The BRICS Summit will begin at 2:30 PM.
BRICS Family Photo at 5 PM
The BRICS leaders will take a family photograph at 5 PM at Bharat Mandapam. This will be followed by a joint tree-planting programme by the leaders of BRICS member countries at 5:30 PM.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a gala dinner for the world leaders at 7:30 PM. The dinner will be held at Level 3 of Bharat Mandapam.
Discussion on Inclusive Global Governance and Multilateralism
At 2:30 PM, the BRICS Summit will hold a discussion on 'Strengthening Inclusive Global Governance and Multilateralism.'
At 4:30 PM, the leaders of BRICS countries will visit the Bharat Innovates exhibition. At 5:30 PM, the leaders will jointly participate in a tree-planting programme on the lawns of Bharat Mandapam.
PM Modi Meets Leaders of Ethiopia and Malaysia

According to Indian government sources, both countries showed strong interest in further strengthening defence cooperation with India. Discussions also covered personnel training and the purchase of defence equipment from India.
Indian Investment and Semiconductor Opportunities Discussed
Both countries welcomed Indian industry and investment. Ethiopia specifically welcomed Indian mining companies.
Opportunities in the semiconductor sector were also discussed with Malaysia.
